i promised a personal update! and i should probably do that.
i’m almost entirely withdrawn from social media. it’s unfortunate i’m missing chances to connect with people, but i pop on sometimes. there’s so much sadness and hopelessness for what we’re becoming, i just can’t function.
but today i shared links to email your elected representatives and a cute kitty pic. i think i’m going to start using Loki-pics as my featured image when I don’t know what to put in that box on these posts!
i’m getting a lot done, around the house and online, i’m working on the tech a lot but also around the house, the insulation in the basement is progressing although it’s hard on my body, i finally cut the board for the shelves in the dining room and planning on working on sanding and staining it next.
i’ve been working on emptying out some of the basement boxes/bins, taking things to goodwill and tossing some stuff. there’s stuff left to put on the shelves, but much less, which is fine! plenty of books, including a few new ones that i worry might not be available forever.
i got a bunch of new stuff for my ereader too, and then took it offline. i’m contemplating a better model if i’m going to use it that way permanently, there’s a bit more money available if i get rid of things i’ve been holding onto. that’s another thing i’ve been doing. buying surplus computers from work and upgrading and getting ready to resell them. i can make some money off of that.
work is stagnating, and even more so, the raise and yearly bonus were nothing short of insulting. so i’m taking advantage of training programs and surplus hardware and trying to make money off them without it being my paycheck, cuz that’s not working out so well. yay.
