So today, I took the Concealed Carry class! So I have the option. No, it doesn’t mean I’m suddenly gonna start carrying a gun with me to the grocery store. But if I need to take a long road-trip into unfamiliar territory or I’m feeling threatened or the local vibe starts feeling particularly hostile, I have options. Or just, if I take my handgun to the range for practice, I don’t have to worry quite so much where in the car I put it after I’m done! If you’re reading this and you’re not a gun person, you might not be aware that they’re pretty strict about where in the car you have a gun, how it’s stored, where the bullets are, etc. And I’m forgetful as hell, so it’s nice just not to have to worry that i absentmindedly set it in the front seat because i was distracted and I’m suddenly breaking laws. yeesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So today, learning! Little bit of shooting and a whole lot of education! And now I’m allowed to apply for the permit. Wisconsin permit can be done online<\/a>, but I will have to drive back to Duluth to do the Minnesota part. With Duluth being right next door, I should have both, and consider Michigan too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
